Joanne Dunn Kinesiology
Systematic Kinesiology was developed in the 50s by a group of Doctors/Chiropractors in America and is one of the fastest growing complimentary therapies in the UK due to its very high success rate. The treatment uses muscle testing to find where imbalances are in the body and imbalances are often due to lifestyle, diet, emotional upsets, stress and previous injuries/accidents/operations. The muscle test helps get to the route of the problem so that you’re treating the cause not the symptoms.
Kinesiology can help with a whole host of health issues from bad backs to IBS and migranes but it’s particularly successful with balancing hormones, calming the nervous system and relieving the stress response in the body. All of which have a profound effect on the body’s ability to conceive.
In this day and age, our foods and drinks are flooded with chemicals and hormones that affect the subtle balance in our
bodies. Time is of the essence and the demands of modern day life leave us feeling tired and stressed and so it’s
no wonder that couples are finding it difficult to get pregnant.
Kinesiology brings us back to basics and concentrates on 4 key areas:
Diet advice, nutritional supplements specifically for your body
Addressing stresses, attitudes, thoughts and feelings
Help with sleep, relaxation, exercise and working with the lympthatic system
4. Energetical -
Balancing the subtle energies within the body
How the treatment works
1. Find a weak muscle
2. Test to see what strengthens it (vitamins, minerals, remedies for emotions etc…)
3. Fix the muscle by rubbing related lymphatic points on the body and releasing tension
4. Talk through any stresses / emotions that may be contributing to the issue
5. Give any diet advice / herbal supplements that will help
6. Work with meridians (similar to how acupuncture works but without needles)
7. Re-test the muscle
Kinesiology can often help that we find can be associated with
Aches, pains and niggles
Restless, tired, heavy legs
Mental attitude and confidence
Frequent infections, colds and coughs
Food sensitivity testing
Period pains, irregular periods
Rashes, boils, skin conditions
Polycystic ovary syndrome, Endometriosis
Anxiety,depression, phobias, Stress and worry
And much much more…
It’s always worth asking and whilst I can never promise a cure, I can
definitely recommend some changes that can help.
The first session takes an hour and a half
and subsequent sessions last for approximately 1 hour.
Our statistics suggest that 80% of symptoms completely disappear after 6
sessions but in my experience it’s often quicker than this.
Successful treatments will rely on the individual to make some lifestyle and/or dietary changes and also to be open to discussing their personal thoughts and feelings as this can have a huge effect on health. For example you may need to drink more water, cut out certain foods etc… and any vitamins/minerals/herbal supplements that show as relevant need to be purchased by the individual. Often only a short course is needed but some supplements will definitely help on an on-going basis.
